A-list evidence of the mainstreaming of social media marketing: Britney Spears’ people are looking for someone to manage her presence on Twitter, Facebook et al
This is no gimmick – it’s the right way to manage her reputation through engaging with fans where and how they spend their time. It also allows her to side-step media spin and position herself exactly as she wishes.

Carl, totally agree with you, just see how all your seeds you put down at truphone are bearing fruits on facebook and in particular, last week peak twitter about tuphone was 156 mentioning per minute when skype integration was announced, see also my blog about twitter versus google on http://www.straubventures.com/blog
Hmm, shame Britney only has three fans that need to be reached. However, for huge acts, applications such as Twitter, Facebook and so on now have to be considered as essential a marketing tool as an artist’s website.
